Working from Greco/Roman statues in the Ashmolean Museum Oxford, specifically the upper cast gallery. Each drawing takes approximately 2 hours, working in a range of styles including tonal studies, sustained focus on line & light as well as exploring soft & hard drawing media.

Life Drawing ranging from 5 minute sketches to 45 minute studies from a range of male and female models. The poses are often created by the models based on their own experience and understanding of their own physical strength and abilities, and sometimes orchestrated based on classic Greco/Roman poses. I use a range of media including, pencil, soft chalks, charcoal and conte.

The botanical dry-point etchings are and extension of my drawing practice, by refined line and textures though mark-making techniques, and developing light and tone with ink. I also use a range of mixed media along side the traditional methods, including chine collet, working with acrylic inks and watercolours.
